Regency Christmas (regencychristmas.com)
History of Regency Christmas!
Regency Christmas began in 2003 with just a few retail purchased strings of lights.
In 2004 the display became much bigger with over 8,000 bud lights and 64 control channels, all Internet Controlled.
Visitors were able to log onto our website and setup 15 second shows (with no input from us), which showed through the night on the front of the house - 764 shows per night. All of the hardware and software to make this happen was custom designed and built.
In 2009, Internet Control was dropped in favour of syncronising all the lights to music, the display was increased to 34,000 lights, all of the bud lights were replaced with Energy Efficient LEDs.
The limited custom control system was replaced with Renard64 controllers offering 256 control channels. Our mega-tree was built (11,500 lights 6.5m High) which added greatly to the display.
2010.. and again we have been hard at work, Part of the Mega-Tree was re-designed, the lights count has increased to 55,000 LEDs, the Renard64 controllers were all replaced with the LOR (light-o-rama) system and
the channel count has increased to 312. With many new garden features and roof lights,
2010 looks to be the best display so far..
